Turkey selects scholarship students invited by the government

The IEFT International Education Fair has been held every spring and autumn for about 20 years in major cities such as Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir. In particular, it is considered one of Turkey's largest international education fairs with more than 100,000 visitors and universities from more than 30 countries around the world. At the briefing session, Kim Hong-ki, head of the Korean Cultural Center in Turkey, introduced the GKS scholarship program, major universities in Korea, and general information on studying abroad.

About 320 people participated in real-time, and question-and-answer sessions on studying in Korea were also held through inquiries. Jayneb Nihal Kltz, who participated in the briefing session, said, "Recently, more and more students are preparing to study Korean and obtain topic certificates in Turkey," adding, "It was a useful time to solve more specific questions through Q&A time."

"Korea, along with the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom, is one of the most interested countries among participants in the education fair, and is definitely prominent among Asian countries," said Selime Talk Oulu, head of the IEFT International Education Fair. "In particular, Turkish students are very familiar with Korea, which is highly similar in language and culture and is familiar with the Korean Wave culture. This naturally leads to interest in Korean language study and studying abroad, he said.

"Korea is a country with a systematic and high level of education system and is an object of envy for students." Park Ki-hong, head of the Korean Cultural Center in Turkey, said, "The cultural center operates an online study counseling center, including educational counseling, three days a week. We plan to continue such educational events in the future to provide useful information to students who dream of studying in Korea." [Source] Korean policy briefing (www.Korea.kr)
